Week of Film Show Opens to Celebrate Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- A week of film show opened on the occasion of the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Documentary films dealing with the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung for the country and the revolution and the noble personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as a great man who is dedicating himself to the overall prosperity of the DPRK and the promotion of the people's wellbeing will be screened at cinemas and cultural houses across the country during the week of film show.

Feature films on various themes are also to be shown.

An opening ceremony was held at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on April 9.

Present at the ceremony were Choe Chang Hak, first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of ministries and national agencies, and officials, creators and artistes in the film sector and other working people in Pyongyang.

An opening address was made by Ri Song Un, director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry.

The speaker expressed belief that through the week of film show the officials and working people would more deeply grasp the noble revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung and perform greater miracles and innovations in the struggle for carrying out the new Five-Year Plan under the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

At the end of the opening ceremony, the participants watched the documentary film "Our Leader Praised by All People."

A week of film show was opened in all provinces on the same day. -0-
