Teachers of Factory Colleges Improve Qualifications

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Education in the DPRK has launched the work to improve the qualifications of teachers at factory colleges across the country.

A practical training course was held to improve the quality of education and raise the level and ability of teachers in conformity with the characteristics of factory colleges.

Lectures evoked positive response from the audiences as they reflected the contents of practical significance that the teachers want to know.

Demonstration lectures on majors given by teachers of Pyongyang and Haeun colleges of technology in foreign languages, shows on demonstration teaching to which research-type teaching and studying methods were applied, and the watching of a video dealing with the teaching contents essential for enhancing the cognitive effect of students had a great effect on broadening the discrimination of the participants.

The ministry also organized a visit to classrooms, teachers' rooms and labs at Sunchon College of Silicate Engineering with good conditions for teachers and students to generalize the successes and experience. -0-
