Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Dozens of young people in Jagang Province of the DPRK have volunteered for worksites seething with a drive for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Youths in Kanggye, Huichon and Manpho cities and Hyangsan, Songgan and Janggang counties vowed to work at city and county construction brigades.
Those in Hwaphyong, Jonchon, Ryongnim, Rangnim, Jasong and Tongsin counties petitioned their youth league organizations to dispatch them to raw materials base stations and goat farms.
Graduates of Kanggye University of Education volunteered to work at revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and schools in mountainous areas.
A meeting was held at the Jagang Provincial Art Theatre to congratulate the volunteers.
Certificates of petition were awarded to the volunteers at the meeting attended by Pak Song Chol, chief secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials concerned, youth league officials, youth and students. Then, a congratulatory address was made to be followed by speeches.
Officials, youths and students encouraged the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them and putting garlands around their necks. -0-
