Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- General education units in the DPRK are actively organizing the after-school activities.
Pulgungori Senior Middle School in Pothonggang District of Pyongyang enlisted students in the relevant groups according to their aptitudes and talents so that they can learn special knowledge, technique and skills.
Sangsin Primary School in Sosong District of Pyongyang, which operates a robot group, made the education contents of the group in a fresh way and applied them to the educational practice. In the course of designing, assembling and controlling robots, the students in the group have acquired knowledge of various fields and increased their comprehensive ability such as observation, creativity and calculating ability.
Sonchon Primary School in Sonchon County of North Phyongan Province organized a short course, an experience presentation on running the after-school groups and a judgment of teaching ability to help all teachers acquire the qualifications and ability to run more than one after-school group. It regularly conducts the contests of students in each group.
Similar successes have been witnessed at Ryomyong Primary School in Taesong District and Tangsang Primary School in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang and Suyang Senior Middle School in Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province. -0-
