Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in charge of the phosphate fertilizer industrial sector are pushing ahead with the production as well as the readjustment and reinforcement, mindful of the intention of the Party Central Committee which set the attainment of the grain production goal as the first target of the 12 major goals for the development of the national economy.

Officials of the Ministry of Mining Industry have directed efforts to strengthening the production basis while making mines and factories carry out their first quarterly plan.

The mines organize the work to solve the technical problems arising in the readjustment and reinforcement while putting the production on a normal basis at a higher level by transporting apatite in time with the increased capacity and taking measure for supplying materials, reagent and accessories.

Several mines have secured more quantity of apatite by paying attention to the overhaul of equipment in cutting faces and the building of stopes in pits and accelerated the modernization of mining, conveying and dressing processes. -0-
