Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- The officials and workers of the Ryongsong Machine Complex in the DPRK are greeting the 80th anniversary of its founding.

The proud history of the complex is associated with the leadership exploits of the peerlessly great men and the feats its workers performed in glorifying its proud tradition.

On April 17, 1946, President Kim Il Sung visited its workers to indicate the road of building the Juche-oriented machine-building industry and led the complex to take the lead in the struggle for socialist economic construction.

Chairman Kim Jong Il repeatedly showed loving care and trust in its workers to play a vanguard role in implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's policies in the whole period of his revolutionary leadership since he started his field guidance at the complex.

With a grand plan to put the machine-building industry of the country on an advanced level, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un assigned the task of manufacturing custom-built equipment of significance in the development of the national economy to the complex, which will play a pivotal role in realizing the plan.

The workers, scientists and technicians of the complex completed the production of large compressors in a short span of time, kindling the flames of creation of the new spirit of the times, the spirit of Chollima in a new era.

Under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the complex has turned into a modern large-scale machine-building base.

In the course of its 80-year-long struggle, the complex won Order of Kim Il Sung and the title of Labour Hero. Many employees were awarded Party and state commendations including Order of Kim Il Sung and the title of Labour Hero. -0-
