Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- A library of Koryo Songgyungwan University was inaugurated with due ceremony on April 23.

The library, built in harmony with the main building at the foot of Mt Songak, has academic discussion rooms, reading rooms and other necessary conditions for scientific and technological research and dissemination.

The construction of a modern library at Koryo Songgyungwan University with a long history makes it possible to provide a sci-tech dissemination base for making progress in the teaching and educational work, scientific research and the work for consolidating the material and technical foundations of the university and a base for disseminating science and technology for the students to build up the tower of knowledge to their heart's content.

Present at the inauguration ceremony were Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned, officials, teaching staff and students of the university and builders. -0-
