Commemorative Meeting Held at Chonsong Youth Coal Mine

Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in the DPRK on May 21 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine.

Present there were Vice-Premier Jon Sung Guk, officials concerned and officials and employees of the coal mine.

Jo Chol Ho, manager of the coal mine, made a commemorative report.

The reporter referred to the fact that President Kim Il Sung made sure that the founding of the coal mine was declared on May 22, 1965 and clearly indicated the road ahead.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who always remembered the workers of the coal mine, led its work so that it would play a big role in the country's coal production, he said.

He said that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un encouraged the coal miners to bring about uninterrupted miracles and innovations in coal production, following the Workers' Party of Korea.

He said that the officials and employees of the coal mine have upheld the ideology and leadership of the Party with single-minded efforts in the past with pure loyalty and noble moral obligation.

The reporter called on all the officials and employees of the coal mine to further accelerate the advance for comprehensive rejuvenation and development true to the ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un and thus greet the Ninth Congress of the WPK with proud results in coal production. -0-
