Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex in the DPRK is establishing a high-grade alloy steel production line.

Workers and technicians of various units at the complex have stepped up the project for expanding the ingotting process with the main emphasis on increasing the alloy steel production capacity.

They are manufacturing and installing a slag re-melting furnace which plays an important role in improving the quality of alloy steel.

The medium-sized machine shop, the generating equipment processing shop No. 2 and other shops are producing parts necessary for the manufacture of slag re-melting furnace while increasing the operation rate of equipment.

After finishing the installation of slag re-melting furnace No. 1 in March, the complex has sped up the preparations for its test operation while manufacturing the slag re-melting furnace No. 2. -0-
