Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- In the railway transport sector of the DPRK, at least 20 locomotive work-teams and more than one hundred workers have carried out their first half-yearly plans for transport of freight ahead of schedule. The number of model workers is now on the increase.

More than 10 units and dozens of locomotive engineers of the Pyongyang Railway Bureau fulfilled their freight transport plans for the first half of the year.

The engineers of the electric locomotive "Pulgungi" No. 1 of the Tanchon Youth Service Brigade of Engine under the Hamhung Railway Bureau and the electric locomotive "Pulgungi" No. 5388 of the Wonsan Service Brigade of Engine took measures to reduce the turnaround days of freight wagons.

More than 30 workers of the Kaechon Railway Bureau, too, carried out the first half-yearly plans.

The engine drivers of the electric locomotive "Pulgungi" No. 2002 of the Chongryong Rolling Stock Corps under the Ministry of Railways and the electric locomotive "Pulgungi" No. 5442 of the Cholsong Service Brigade of Engine under the Chongjin Railway Bureau carried much more freight than planned. -0-
