Efforts to Protect and Manage Cultural Heritage Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- Patriotic efforts are being devoted to protect and manage historical relics, scenic spots and natural monuments in different parts of the DPRK.

Pyongyang Municipality has conducted the complement and repair of relics including the Honam-ri kiln site in keeping with the principle of historicism and technical requirements.

Meanwhile, it is taking necessary measures on the basis of learning after the conditions of preserving Ryongwang Pavilion, Taedong Gate and Popun Temple and improving the surrounding environment by planting trees of good species.

North Hwanghae and South Phyongan provinces spruced up historical relics and scenic spots including Songbul Temple in Mt Jongbang and the Anju Walls in keeping with the new era.

Jagang Province completed the projects for improving the appearance of facilities for visit and mountaineering at the historical sites and scenic spots in a short span of time and South Hwanghae Province finished the project for improving the Sokdam Stream and repairing stone wall.

North and South Hamgyong provinces are protecting and managing cultural heritage. -0-
