Talks between Defence Ministers of DPRK and Russia Held

Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- There took place talks between No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Andrei Beloussov, minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, in Pyongyang on Friday.

At the talks No Kwang Chol appreciated that the exchange and cooperation between the defence ministries of the two countries have been dynamically promoted through mutual visits of high-level delegations since the historic June 2024 DPRK-Russia Pyongyang Summit, and expressed belief that the current Pyongyang visit by the military delegation of the Russian Federation would serve as an important occasion for promoting the friendship, mutual cooperation and the development of relations between the armies of the two countries.

Beloussov expressed the willingness to further expand the mutually beneficial cooperation in the complicated international situation, referring to the fact that the treaty on the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries plays a stabilizer's role in the Northeast Asian region.

At the talks the two sides sincerely discussed the issue of strengthening the militant unity and strategic and tactical cooperation between the armies of the two countries by thoroughly implementing the agreements made by the top leaders of the two countries, and regional and international issues of mutual concern, before reaching a full consensus of views. -0-
