Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- Paddy-field fish breeding has been expanded and introduced in different parts of the DPRK.
Pyongyang Municipality remodeled paddy fields, including making fish ways and pools at the fields selected as the right sites for paddy-field fish breeding. On this basis, it helps districts and counties improve the nutritional care of breeding fish in winter and make good preparations for hatching in spring.
South Phyongan Province is putting spurs to laying the foundations for producing animal protein feed including the supply of fish meal and Hermetia illucens habitat.
North Hwanghae Province, assisted by excellent university teachers and technicians of fish farming sector in the province, ensures that the officials of the agricultural guidance organ grasp the technical problems arising in introducing organic farming through fish farming.
North Phyongan Province built a breeding fish base, equipped with fodder crushing room, granulated feed production room and hatchery in a short span of time, and is taking measures to promote paddy-field fish breeding.
Jagang Province organized a show and training course on paddy-field fish breeding in the northern mountainous areas. -0-
