Pyongyang Timber Mill Marks Its 70th Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Timber Mill in the DPRK marked its 70th founding anniversary.

On May 27, 1956, President Kim Il Sung visited the mill under construction and gave instructions on its management and operation, including the building up of ranks of its employees, even though he was so busy guiding the struggle for postwar reconstruction.

Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the mill several times to take meticulous care of its officials and workers and gave undeserved praise and trust to them whenever they achieved successes in production.

Under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the mill greeted a new heyday of its development.

The General Secretary set forth a goal for developing it into a comprehensive wood processing base with modern production lines and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for its modernization while guiding it to make a substantial contribution to the improvement of people's living.

A meeting was held on May 26 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the mill. Present there were officials concerned and officials and employees of the mill. -0-
