Paddy-field Fish Breeding Promoted in N. Hwanghae Province

Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK speeds up the preparations for paddy-field fish breeding.

Inpho and Chongun farms in Songnim City are raising the technical and skill levels of their farmers through sci-tech dissemination and study on ensuring of the density of fish per cubic metre of water, selecting of rice varieties and scientific water management method and are laying material and technical foundations for increasing the per-hectare grain yield and fish productivity.

The agricultural workers in Koksan, Sungho and Junghwa counties are increasing the production of catfish fries by introducing efficient hatching method and providing water temperature, protein feed and nutrition in a scientific and technological way.

Sariwon City and Unpha County are paying efforts to securing high-yielding seeds, training skilled workers and building breeding bases. -0-
