Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The Songchon Mine in the DPRK concentrates efforts on laying a prospective production foundation to make innovations in mineral production.

The mine has fulfilled its daily mineral production plan without fail by increasing tunneling places and ensuring the full operation of rock drills, winches and other equipment.

It completed the construction of several watertight walls in various places in a qualitative way to provide a guarantee for pushing ahead with production without interruption, and increased the tunneling speed more than 1.2 times by applying a rational blasting method. -0-
