Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- During the spring tree planting season Jagang Province of the DPRK planted tens of millions of trees of high economic value in over 16 000 hectares.

The provincial forest management bureau pushed ahead with production of saplings in a planned way, while supplying root activators and plant growth promoters in a responsible way. It ensured that its officials went to cities and counties to give technical guidance and assistance.

Working people in cities and counties of the province secured saplings under scientific calculation and planted oil-bearing chestnut trees, Acer truncatum and other trees in an intensive way.

They have turned out as one in the patriotic work for the future of the country and paid deep attention to planting saplings in a qualitative way and increasing the rate of their rooting. -0-
