Number of Animals Grows at Central Zoo

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The number of animals is growing at the Central Zoo in the DPRK.

A thousand and hundreds of animals of over 100 species have bred this year, adding pleasure to visitors.

A Selenarctos thibetanus, an animal presented to Chairman Kim Jong Il by a foreign businessman, brought forth a cub on January 1, 2025.

Dogs, gift animals, sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un produced their puppies.

German pointer (dog) produced a puppy in February and Shih tzu, a pet dog, dropped two babies (a pair). They were 160-170 grams in weight and 13-14 centimeters in length at birth.

A Korean tiger, Papio hanadryas, brown bear and other animals produced younglings. -0-
