Efforts Made to Develop New Products and Improve Quality

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The regional-industry factories in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK strive to develop new products and improve their quality.

The Puryong County Foodstuff Factory has turned out more than 10 kinds of new products, including pine-nut cake, red-bean hot pepper paste, fermented char and fried crayfish, while directing primary efforts to enlisting the creative activeness of technicians and broadening their vision.

The Puryong County Daily Necessities Factory is improving the quality of laundry soap and powdered soap and pushing ahead with the preparations to arrange the process for producing toilet soap.

Employees of the Kyongsong County Foodstuff Factory and the Orang County Seafood Processing Factory have produced jelly of matrimony vine fruit, bread, salted guts of Alaska Pollack and dried crab meat to win popularity among the inhabitants.

Regional-industry factories in Kilju County, too, have stepped up the diversification of foodstuffs, furniture and garments and the improvement of quality indices. -0-
