Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- Recent years have witnessed the remodeling of major farm machine production units and the establishment of their material and technical foundations for serial production of various kinds of farm machines, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The first- and second-stage modernization projects of the Kumsong Tractor Factory were completed to be a comprehensive factory producing high-hp tractors and efficient farm machines, a treasure factory taking the lead in the development of the country's farm machine industry. The factory is now simultaneously conducting the production of various kinds of farm machines, the trial run of high-hp tractors and the assembly of tillers.

The Hamhung Trailing Farm Machine Factory is directing efforts to the production of rice-transplanting machine parts while remodeling tractors for increasing their horsepower.

The Sariwon Tractor Parts Factory is making innovations in the production of spare parts every day in March, too, and the Haeju Farm Machine Factory is steadily increasing the production of small rice harvesters and rice-transplanting machine parts.

The Namsi Livestock Machine Factory is improving the quality and performance of various kinds of livestock machines.

The Kangso Sprayer Factory is producing quality sprayers and sprinklers. -0-
