Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in Rodong Sinmun on Monday:

- Articles say that the revolutionary career of Chairman Kim Jong Il is a sacred one shining with patriotism.

- An article notes that the plan of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the whole countryside into socialist ideal village is being translated into reality.

- Model rural dwelling houses were built at different villages of the Saryong Farm in Kumya County, South Hamgyong Province and ceremonies of moving into new houses were held.

- Youth and students from across the country made a study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and climbed Mt Paektu, a sublime mountain of revolution.
