Pyongyang, May 11 (KCNA) -- Tens of young people in South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK have volunteered for major posts of socialist construction.

Youth league members in Ragwon County requested their organization to dispatch them to the Ragwon County Offshore Farm, and a senior middle school teacher in Sapho District of Hamhung City vowed to work at a mountain village school.

Young people in the counties of Jongphyong, Sinhung and Pukchong volunteered to work at construction brigade, goat farm, raw material base and work-teams maintaining roads over mountains. And those in Tanchon City, Jangjin County and other areas decided to work devotedly for the sake of the country and its people.

A meeting was held in Hamhung City on May 10 to congratulate those volunteers.

Present at the meeting were officials concerned, youth league officials, youth and students. At the meeting, petition certificates were conferred on the volunteers. And then a congratulatory speech and resolution-making speeches were made.

Officials, youth and students warmly saw off the volunteers leaving for their new revolutionary posts. -0-
