Environmental Management Improved in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The field of land and environment protection in the DPRK is directing efforts to improving environmental management.

The Ministry of Land and Environment Protection has grasped the technical conditions of the overall roads of the country and given effective guidance to improving the modernity and safety of the defective roads.

The land and environment protection sectors in provinces are planting trees of good species and turfs in parks, pleasure grounds, rural villages and railway surroundings after securing turf seeds of good species.

They are reinforcing the posts that monitor the air quality and the water quality of rivers in their regions in real time.

Pyongyang has set up trial posts for monitoring environment and installed advanced measuring equipment to expand the environment monitoring network. -0-
