Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- A ceremony for awarding February 16 Science and Technology Prize, Natural Science Prize, Technical Innovation Prize, Diploma of Best Scientist and Technician of the State and Prize for Best Inventor in 2025 was held at the People's Palace of Culture in the DPRK on March 31.
Present there were Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Sin Il Chol, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Song Bin, chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, Kim Sung Jin, president of the State Academy of Sciences, officials concerned, scientists and technicians.
Announced at the ceremony was a decision of the non-permanent examination committee for the February 16 Science and Technology Prize.
Diplomas and medals of the February 16 Science and Technology Prize were conferred on ten projects which contributed to the country's economic development and the improvement of the people's living standards, diploma of the Natural Science Prize on one project and diplomas of the Technical Innovation Prize on six projects, together with prizes.

Certificates of the Natural Science Prize were conferred on eight researchers of the Physics Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, and certificates of the Technical Innovation Prize on 59 scientists, technicians and others of Pyongyang University of Architecture and other units.

The Prize for Best Inventor in 2025, together with relevant prizes, were conferred on Jong Ryong Su, manager of the Pyongyang Jonghyang Building Materials Factory, and other persons.
