Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- Sowing rice seeds in nurseries began in rural areas of South Hwanghae Province, the DPRK.

The rural communities of Chongdan County are speeding up the sowing after setting up proper daily quotas to suit the regional weather conditions and characters of species and cultivation types.

The farms in Paechon and Yonan counties are sowing rice seeds while paying attention to making peasants understand the technical requirements arising in sowing and giving priority to nursery-making and seed-treatment.

Those in Jaeryong, Anak and Sinchon counties are preparing various nursery materials as required by the standard and ensuring the amount of sowing per phyong and the thickness of covering soil according to technical regulations.

Farms in the coastal and intermediate mountainous areas including Haeju City and Kangryong and Ongjin counties have qualitatively sowed rice seeds in nurseries in the right time, after setting right soil for nurseries and efficiently conducting seed treatment and nursery-making. -0-
