Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Kangwon Province of the DPRK directs big efforts to supporting the educational sector.

Officials of the provincial-level institutions have provided many educational facilities to educational units at all levels.

The Munphyong Smeltery offered equipment and materials necessary for the educational work and students' living to Wonsan University of Education. Officials and employees of the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory sent various kinds of school things to the school under its charge.

The provincial power transmission and distribution station, the provincial communication management bureau and the Munchon Steel Works provided lots of information facilities to help Wonsan Jo Kun Sil University of Technology and Wonsan University of Medicine raise their IT level.

Among the active supporters are officials and employees of the Munchon Kumgang Smeltery, the provincial management bureau for regional construction and building-materials production, the Kangwon provincial branch of the Foreign Trade Bank and the Wonsan Chemical Factory.

Similar activities have been witnessed in Anbyon, Thongchon, Hoeyang and other counties of the province. -0-
