Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- A memorial concert "Stars of the Motherland" for the war martyrs, excellent sons of the glorious Democratic People's Republic of Korea, was held outside the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations, built as a monumental edifice in the great era, on Sunday evening.

The venue of the concert, where a group sculpture of heroic soldiers involved in the special military operations of the Korean People's Army is standing imposingly to show the political and ideological mightiness peculiar to our army, was wrapped in an atmosphere of mourning the heroic soldiers cherished deep in the hearts of the country and the people as eternal stars.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, attended the memorial concert, together with leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, officers and men of the overseas operations units, bereaved families of the martyrs and other participants in the inauguration ceremony.

Present there were Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma, Andrei Beloussov, minister of Defense, and other members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation and staff members of the Russian embassy here.

Put on the stage of the concert, which began with orchestral music "Morning Star" and narrative poem "Immortality", were hymns full of deep respect for and recollection of the warriors involved in the overseas military operations and famous songs on patriotism.

The performers paid the highest tribute to the proud sons, combat heroes in the era of Kim Jong Un who created the immortal myth of strong army at the cost of their lives by demonstrating to the full the excellence and bravery of the DPRK and its people through their indomitable heroic struggle in the overseas special military operations, true to the order of the country, and returned to the motherland they longed for even in their dreams.

Watching the numbers showing the days and months of life-and-death bloody battles filled with obligation and decisive battle, blood and tears and indignation and revenge, and pathetic scenes of death-defying hand-to-hand fights and heroic suicidal explosions the young soldiers chose without hesitation, the audience keenly felt with painful resentment and grim resolution what a dear price the soldiers have paid for the dignity of the strong and immortal fame.

The audience were deeply moved by the emotional scenes showing the lights from the window of the Party Central Committee that never went down, wishing for the safety of the soldiers in the alien battlefield, and the world of parental love and agony of the great father who repressed hard the great pain of loss upon receiving every sad news and wrapped them in the sacred national flag to glorify their precious lives shining like stars though they fell down, to epically prove how the Koreans and the Korean People's Army are strong and ever-victorious.

The audience enthusiastically sang with the performers "Eternal Reverence" and "Only Victory" and other famous songs that arouse the strong will to cherish the immutable truth of patriotic loyalty and immortality, taught by the shining names, images and heroic lives that will never be mossed with time, and build without fail a thriving country, the world's most powerful country desired by the martyrs.

Also put on the stage were Russian famous songs.

The memorial night was heated by the bitter sorrow and heartache being jointly overcome on the road for justice and peace and the militant friendship and peculiar feelings that have laid foundations for the eternal development of the DPRK-Russia friendship.

The concert ended with the playing of national anthems of the DPRK and the Russian Federation.

Air echelons of the KPA Air Force flew over Saeppyol Street, setting off fireworks in reverence for the representatives of the precious honor of the country.

The memorial concert wishing that the passionate pulse and spirit of the great heroic soldiers, who defended the dignity and honor of the motherland at cost of their lives, embodying the DPRK's absolute strength and symbolizing its people's mightiness and justice, would be eternal as the breath of the DPRK and its army and people, had deep resonances for the audience. -0-
