Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The design sector of the DPRK is leading the development of regions by creating new and unique architectural designs.

The Kangwon Provincial Design Institute has carried out dozens of design tasks for important projects and sectors this year.

It made the plans for laying out buildings and artist’s impressions in Wonsan City in a modern and peculiar way to suit the appearance of the world's tourist city, and completed a large number of project designs in a short span of time.

The South Hamgyong Provincial Design Institute has made the designs of rural villages in keeping with the regional characteristics and the convenience of inhabitants.

It completed the interior layouts of public and industrial buildings as the ones for obtaining optimum results and made the architectural designs of schools and kindergartens in conformity with the educational environment and the developing reality.

The South Phyongan and Jagang provincial design institutes have made successes in creating architectural designs to open an era in which regions are undergoing changes. -0-
