Media Persons in DPRK Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Journalists and other media persons in the DPRK launched their study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

A kick-off meeting of the expedition took place at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province on March 2.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets at the statues of the great leaders and paid tribute to them.

Ryom Chol Ho, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Journalists Union of Korea, made a speech at the meeting.

He called on all the expedition members to become buglers of powerful advance inspiring all the people to the grand struggle for hastening the comprehensive national rejuvenation by apprehending the unique method and knack of ideological work, deeply mindful of the intention of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea which called them to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

After the meeting, the expedition members began their march towards the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, with the expedition flag flying in the van of their ranks. -0-
