Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The "Forum of Our Nation-2024" took place in Tokyo, Japan on September 29 under the sponsorship of the Korean Youth Commercial Association in Japan (Chongsanghoe).

Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and concurrently Director of the Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U, Vice-Chairman Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman Song Kun Hak, Vice-Chairman So Chung On, Director of the Rights and Welfare Department Im Kyong Ha, Director of the Economic Department Hyon Tae Sik and Director of the Financial Department Kim Kyong Ho of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), chairpersons of the Chongryon Headquarters, leading officials of the central organizations and affiliates of Chongryon, Kim Min Gwan, chairman of the Korean Youth Commercial Association in Japan, and other members of Chongsanghoe in different parts of Japan and Koreans.

The forum was held on the theme titled "'Let us greet a new era of prosperity of Chongryon!', 'Let us bring about a brilliant era of efflorescence of national education in Nishi Tokyo!', 'Potential of Nishi Tokyo!'" out of the single desire to give full play to the inexhaustible strength of Korean compatriots from all walks of life and make the first breakthrough for the efflorescence of national education and the prosperity of the Korean compatriots' community.

A video of congratulations from the homeland was shown at the event.

Then followed an art performance, video show and presentation that demonstrate the patriotic tradition for national education in Nishi Tokyo and the advantages of national education.

There were also a video show, announcement of work plan and expression of determination full of confidence to glorify the 80th founding anniversary of Nishi Tokyo Korean Primary and Secondary School No. 1 and Nishi Tokyo Korean Primary and Secondary School No. 2 and open up the efflorescence of national education from Nishi Tokyo at any cost toward the 100th founding anniversary of the schools.

Hwang Chol Su, chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Forum and chairman of Chongsanghoe in Nishi Tokyo, made a speech at the event. -0-
