New Houses Built in Rural Areas of North Phyongan Province

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- The agricultural workers in Kumbu-ri of Sakju County and Tanghu-ri of Phihyon County in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK have become the masters blessed by rural civilization at a time when modern rural dwellings are being built across the country.

The modern and cultural dwelling houses of various forms are the cradles of a new life provided by the motherly Workers' Party of Korea for the farmers.

Present at the ceremonies of moving into new houses held on the spots were Choe Yong Man, chairman of the provincial people's committee, officials of the Party and power organs in the province and the counties, builders and agricultural workers.

Addresses were made at the ceremonies and licenses for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by speeches.

As house-moving began, congratulatory art performances were given. The people's happy laughter came from the windows of dwellings where the national flags of the Republic were fluttering.

Officials visited the owners of the new houses to share joy with them. -0-
