Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Fisheries in the DPRK is pushing ahead with the project to breed yellow corbina.
The ministry has directed attention to forming the commanding forces for the construction of spawning pond of yellow corbina and supplying necessary materials, while intensifying its control and guidance so that the project is carried out as required by the design, technical regulations and construction methods.
It dispatched researchers of the Institute of Fisheries to the spot and has provided conditions for them to solve sci-tech problems related to the artificial propagation of yellow corbina.
The construction of the spawning pond is progressing apace. Relevant units under the South Hwanghae Provincial Fishery Management Bureau are stepping up the construction of more than 10 major buildings, including the office building, welfare building and fry breeding grounds and settling ponds, at the final stage.
Researchers of the Institute of Fisheries are striving to perfect the technology of artificial propagation. -0-
