Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Educational units at all levels of the DPRK are making preparations for the new school year.

Kanggye University of Education and Sariwon Teacher Training College have prepared all their teachers to give lectures on majors in foreign languages while pushing ahead with the work to create and generalize research-type teaching and studying methods.

Teachers of Sinuiju, Sunchon and Phyongsong colleges of technology have drawn up syllabuses and teaching programmes in conformity with the pedagogical principles and made lecture programs and visual aids with high cognitive effectiveness, with main stress put on improving the level of specialization of students.

Kim Ju Hyok Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District and Munsin Senior Middle School in Tongdaewon District help their teachers improve their qualifications through short courses and pay attention to further updating the labs and fully furnishing them with experimental apparatuses.

Similar successes have been witnessed at Ponghwa Senior Middle School in Pothonggang District, Tongsong Senior Middle School in Central District and Songyo Primary School in Songyo District. -0-
