Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Scientists of the Rubber Materials Institute of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences of the DPRK have made achievements in the researches for the local production of materials and parts.
Scientists manufactured and introduced hundreds of winch friction pieces to mechanize the tunnel work at the Komdok Mining Complex and began home production of large-sized rubber rollers needed for normalizing the production at a plastic daily essential plastic goods factory.
They also made and introduced thousands of elastic couplings urgently needed for cement production and made rubber products for the updating of a large-scale machine-building base.
Scientists have made progress in the research to extract rubber and oil with fruits and leaves of Eucommia ulmoides oliv and are striving to develop rubber products needed in economic practice with minimum cost. -0-
