President Kim Il Sung's Revolutionary Creed

Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Independence was the revolutionary creed, mode and practice that President Kim Il Sung cherished and embodied all his life.

At the Kalun Meeting in June Juche 19 (1930) and other meetings, the President clarified the truth of the revolution that independence is the life and soul of the masses of people, the country and the nation and, in order to realize it, it is necessary to reject flunkeyism and dogmatism and carry on the revolution independently and creatively.

In the whole period of his revolutionary leadership, he resolutely rejected the old tendency of flunkeyism and dogmatism and held high the banner of independence. He solved all problems arising in the revolution and construction independently in conformity with the requirements of the Korean revolution, the interests of the Korean people and the specific conditions of our country.

He pushed forward the revolutionary cause, consistently remaining unchanged in the stand of independence under the situation in which the high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists and dominationists were rampant.

With the faith in victory and the strong courage that we are sure to win as long as there are the Party, the power, the army and the people, he built an invincible power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence on this land, turning adversity into prosperity and misfortune into blessings.

The history of the Korean revolution which has made long strides through the manifold difficulties and trials under the leadership of the President clearly proves that independence is justice and victory.

Today, independence is shining as a symbol of the peerlessly great personality of the President and a term of the times praising his sacred revolutionary career and immortal exploits. -0-
