Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Academy of Defence Sciences conducted a test-fire of 240 mm-caliber controllable multiple rocket launcher shells under production at defence industrial enterprises under the Second Economy Commission on Oct. 8.

The test-fire aimed at reconfirming the hit accuracy of the controllable multiple rocket launcher shells at a maximum range of 67 km while checking the reliability of the automatic firing system.

The test-fire was watched by Kim Jong Sik, first vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Kim Yong Hwan, president of the Academy of Defence Sciences. -0-
