Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Last year, the rural areas of the DPRK produced more than 680 high-yield farms, 6 300 high-yield workteams, 20 900 high-yield sub-workteams and 65 100 bumper croppers, more than six times the previous year's figures.
Agricultural workers across the country are now working hard to bring about high-yield successes this year, too.
Officials and working people in the agricultural field of Sukchon County have made successes in farming preparations and farmers in Paechon County have striven to apply much more manure to the farm fields.
Those who voluntarily advanced into socialist farms in North Phyongan, North Hamgyong, South Hwanghae and Ryanggang provinces this year, proposed that they should be entrusted with low-yielding farm fields.
Witnessed in Kangnam and Unryul counties are beautiful traits whereby farmers hand over to others the land which was turned into the fertile one with much effort and take over the fields under unfavourable conditions.
Amid the growing enthusiasm for scientific farming and high-yield emulation, the Kangson Farm in Chollima District and many other farms are helping and leading the units going behind, transferring their advanced experience. -0-
