Photo Exhibition Opens to Mark 80th Founding Anniversary of SPYL

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition "Bringing up a large contingent of successors to the revolution and patriotic youth with great policy of valuing the youth" opened with due ceremony at the Central Youth Hall on Monday to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are the photos dealing with the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men who brought up the rising generations to be reliable successors to the revolutionary cause of Juche with their unique policy of attaching importance to the youth.

Also on display there are the photos showing the heroic struggle and feats of the young people, who built many grand monumental edifices in different parts of the country, and the noble virtues and traits being displayed by them.

Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and youth and students in Pyongyang.

Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.

The speaker said that the exhibition serves as an important occasion in making the young people grasp the greatness and exploits of the Party, which is writing a new history of the youth power without an equal in the world, and creditably discharge their mission and duty as the scout unit of the Party in the historic advance toward a new victory of the revolution.

He called upon all the officials of the youth league and the youth to advance more vigorously and courageously to greet the Ninth Congress of the WPK as the one of victors and glory, rallied close around the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un with patriotism.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the exhibition venue. -0-
