One day in November 1965, President
After discussing the work of the farm with its primary officials until sunset, the President asked them if they had anything to propose.
An official of the farm said that there is a tendency among some farmers not to use tractors well as they think that they would receive less share after paying off the tractor fee, adding that it is good to make sure that farmers use farm machines at will.
An official of a national agency got up and said that if tractors are handed over to the cooperative farm according to him, they would be broken.
After thinking for a while, the President said that we made tractors while working hard to mechanize farming and free the farmers from labor-consuming work and if farmers do not use tractors owing to the breakout of tractors and fee, they would not free from the labor-consuming work.
He warmly said that his desire would be attained if he heard the word that farmers use machines as much as they wish, although tractors are out of order and the state suffers a loss.
Like this, the President, who regarded it as his desire to free farmers from labor-consuming work, made a far-reaching plan for mechanization of agriculture and energetically led the struggle to realize it. -0-
