It was one day in October 1953.

While giving field guidance to South Hamgyong Province, President Kim Il Sung visited the then Hungnam Fertilizer Factory again.

Officials and workers of the factory did not know the reason why the President called at the factory again because he had already visited it a few days ago and taught in detail the orientation and ways for its reconstruction.

The President said that he visited the factory again as he had something to entrust to its workers before leaving the province. He earnestly said that it is an urgent issue to rehabilitate the factory and that farming could not be well done as fertilizers were not supplied to the countryside during the war, adding that when he visited the countryside this time, farmers were eagerly demanding for fertilizers.

When he looked round various rural villages in the province for several days, he heard the unanimous voices of farmers demanding fertilizers.

Looking at the workers of the fertilizer factory with trust, the President said in an earnest tone that he told the farmers that they would be supplied with fertilizers after two years, adding that he said so because he believed in the workers of the Hungnam Fertilizer Factory.

True to the trust of the President, the workers of the factory finished the reconstruction and produced and sent a lot of fertilizers to the countryside after two years. -0-
