Delayed Lunch Time for Farming

One day in September Juche 65 (1976), President Kim Il Sung guided a consultative meeting over the agricultural problem in North Phyongan Province.

The meeting continued until midday. At that time the President was acquainting himself with the farming situation at the then Ryonghung Cooperative Farm through the chairperson of its management board.

An official told the President that the lunch time passed, but the President continued hearing the chairperson talk about farming experience, saying he was enough to be told about farmers raising good crops.

After hearing the chairperson's talk, the President highly praised the farm for its good maize yield.

Then, he said that it is possible to settle the food problem only when the peasants raise good crops and that we can live without gold, but can not live without rice even for a day.

As seen above, the President showed deep attention to the country's farming, delaying his meal time. -0-
