One day in January 2001, Chairman Kim Jong Il called an official to learn about various issues. Among them was the issue related with the then Taehongdan Potato Starch Factory.

He said that the factory should be equipped with a production line of processed potato products including dehydrated starch noodle.

He stressed the need to build the production line so as to provide the people with a lot of dehydrated starch noodle and taffy, saying that our people liked dehydrated starch noodles but they were not supplied enough to the people as they were not produced in quantities in the past.

He personally drew with a piece of wood on the snow-covered walkway the places for building new lines of producing dehydrated starch noodles, taffies and wines at the factory that he matured during field guidance.

He instructed with pleasure that it would be well done if the factory was remodeled as he had drawn.

Like this, the wonderful potato-processing base built in Taehongdan is associated with the warm love and devotion of Kim Jong Il. -0-
