One day in February 1960, President Kim Il Sung came to go via the then Thaekam-ri, Sunan County, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK, on a car at sunset.

Seeing young women turning manure over in a near rice field, the President got out of the car and went up to them. They were so pleased to meet the President in the field.

He took a fork from a young woman and climbed a compost heap to stab and turn it over with the fork.

After a good while he stopped it and was so delighted that the compost was rotten well. And he told the women to see him again at the field after having a bumper crop.

Then he had a photo taken with the young women in working clothes against a background of the compost heap. -0-
