Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the sector of machine-building industry in the DPRK are producing and supplying equipment and materials for irrigation project.

The Taean Electric Appliances Factory under the Taean Heavy Machine Complex has carried out its plan to produce ordered equipment for the irrigation of paddy fields.

Workers at the Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory made a digital automatic measuring instrument for winding number and remodeled the annealing furnace efficiently with their own efforts and technology, thus speeding up the processing of products and improving their quality.

The Jangsan Electric Appliances Factory increased the repair cycle of the medium frequency induction furnace 1.5 times and increased productivity by solving technological problems arising in supplying fireproof materials. It introduced a new technological innovation into insulation work to save more than 20 percent of materials.

The Saenal Electric Appliances Factory raises the level of specialization in production by introducing rational jigs and equipment, and lowers costs by pushing ahead with the recycling. In this way it is producing disconnecting switches for irrigation project in a qualitative way

The Pyongyang Motor Factory, too, is exploring and tapping internal reserves and potential to put production on a normal basis. -0-
