Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- Sindo County in North Phyongan Province, which is located in the northwestern coastal area of the DPRK, is famous for reed production.

Sindo County, called Pidan Island, is associated with the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who pays deep attention to providing the DPRK people with more civilized living conditions.

One day in June 2018, Kim Jong Un visited Sindo County and unfolded a grand blueprint for turning the county into a raw material base for Juche-oriented chemical fibre.

Saying that it is necessary to put the reed cultivation on a scientific and modern basis to boost the per-hectare yield and solve the problem arising in reed transportation to supply the factories with sufficient fibre raw materials, he indicated the tasks and ways for bringing about a fresh turn in reed farming.

He learned in detail about the housing problem and the supplies of cement and food and took a benevolent measure for solving the traffic problem of the people in the county.

Thanks to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un, the county was turned into a large reed producer of the country and a place good to work and live in.
