Meeting of Young People Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the young people took place at the Pyongyang Municipal Youth Park Open-Air Theatre on March 10. The participants vowed to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Present at the meeting were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials of the youth league, youth and students in Pyongyang and members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an address.
The speaker called upon all the young people to turn out in implementing the new five-year plan, bearing deep in mind the basic idea and spirit of the Party Congress on consolidating the successes of the struggle for pioneering the era of comprehensive development and continuing to lead them to a greater result.
He said that all the officials and members of the youth league should fulfill the mission and duty as the reliable advancing group and wing of the Party, cherishing as the primary honor the great trust of the respected fatherly Marshal
He noted that they should voluntarily work at difficult and labor-consuming worksites of socialist construction by further enhancing the spirit of responding to the Party's call with enthusiastic volunteering and steadily perform fresh miracles and feats at every worksite for a great upsurge.
He appealed to all the young people to powerfully demonstrate the spirit and might of the patriotic youth in the struggle for attaining the new long-term goals indicated by the Ninth Congress of the Party with courage and pride and honor of being the young vanguard in the great era of
