Large Numbers of Young People Volunteer to Work at Major Worksites

Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- This year, many young people across the DPRK volunteered to work at major worksites for implementing the decisions of the Workers' Party of Korea, schools in mountainous areas and branch schools on islets.

Dozens of young people in Kaechon and Tokchon cities, Pukchang and Mundok counties and other areas of South Phyongan Province joined the youth shock brigades in several coal mines.

Young people in Hoeryong City, Myongchon and Musan counties and other cities and counties of North Hamgyong Province volunteered to work at coal mines and mines.

An official of the youth league in Junggang County, Jagang Province, together with his family, volunteered for the county raw material base station.

Graduates of senior middle schools in Kangso, Waudo, Taean and Chollima districts of Nampho Municipality also petitioned to work at raw material base station.

Young people in Pyongyang joined district construction brigades.

Young people in North Phyongan, North Hwanghae, South Hamgyong, Jagang and Kangwon provinces also joined the construction brigades in relevant regions.

Among the volunteers are young people from Yomju, Sonchon, Cholsan, Unryul, Kim Jong Suk and Taehongdan counties and Haeju City and graduates of Hwangju Middle School for Orphans.

Members of the youth league of the Mangyongdae District Floricultural Station and the Taedonggang District Extracurricular Sports School decided to work at the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

Young people in Sinpho City, Ragwon County and other areas made decisions to work at the Sinpho City Offshore Farm and the Ragwon County Offshore Farm, and those in Rason Municipality applied for jobs with the construction mechanization brigade and the water supply and sewerage management station, etc.

Young people, including ex-servicemen in Manpho City and Kophung County, joined the volunteers' ranks with their enthusiasm to distinguish themselves at production sites and construction sites as the heroic youth.

Other young people volunteered to work at the iron works, steel plant, highway management station, ridgeway management station, forestry station and stockbreeding base.

The deeds of many graduates of Nampho University of Education, Phyongsong Teacher Training College and other universities and colleges across the country, who volunteered for schools on remote islets and in mountainous counties, show well the beautiful outlook on life of the new generations.

Graduates of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Phyongsong University of Education and other universities decided to work in the area of Mt Paektu. -0-
