Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho Municipality of the DPRK are striving to consolidate the material and technical foundations of the educational field.

Officials and working people of many units in North Phyongan Province, including the provincial rural economy committee, the provincial public prosecutors office, the provincial foreign trade administration bureau, the provincial regional-industry management bureau, the Sinuiju Textile Mill and the Ponghwa Chemical Factory, have rendered sincere assistance to the educational field.

Support organizations in Jongju City and Nyongbyon, Pakchon, Tongchang and Changsong counties sent various kinds of school furniture, educational equipment and experimental and practical apparatuses to educational institutions.

Officials of the South Hamgyong Provincial Rural Economy Committee provided materials necessary for strengthening the educational foundation of Hamhung University of Agriculture. And the February 8 Vinalon Complex, the Sinpho Distant-Sea Fishery Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex supplied lots of building materials and experimental apparatuses to Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering, Hamhung Middle School for Orphans and other educational units.

Hochon, Yodok, Kumya and other counties provided equipment necessary for putting the education on a modern and IT basis.

Nampho Municipality has sent materials to schools and universities to help them improve educational conditions and environment in the new school year. -0-
