Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade
The educational aid fund and stipends, sent in 171 occasions so far, are the warm loving care for Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan constantly shown by President
One day in January 1957 the President asked an official concerned why there isn't an item of education aid fund and stipends for children of Koreans in Japan while guiding the meeting in which the draft state budget was discussed.
The item was a task which had already been given by the President.
Hearing the answer of the official to execute the item apart from the state budget due to the strained financial situation, the President instructed in a serious tone that we should send money to overseas compatriots suffering troubles in an alien land so as to get their children to study, though we fail to build a few factories.
And he also stressed the need to newly specify in the state budget the item "Educational aid fund and stipends for children of Koreans in Japan" and hold fast to it as a permanent undertaking.
Thanks to the loving care of the President the first educational aid fund and stipends were sent to the children of Koreans in Japan under Chongryon in April that year.
True to the noble intention of the President, Chairman
The history of benevolent love of the President and the Chairman for the educational aid fund and stipends is being carried forward by the respected General Secretary
The respected General Secretary said that he would do his best for dignified life and bright future of Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan, adding that Koreans in Japan are his own flesh and blood with deep love though they live far from the homeland.
Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan who will greet the 70th anniversary of Chongryon (May 25, 1955) are full of enthusiasm to vigorously usher in a new era of prosperity of Chongryon by dint of eternal patriotism while singing the song of memories "Warm Love of Motherland". -0-
