Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- A project for updating the Ryongsong Machine Complex has been accelerated.

A relevant technical manual was completed by several designing units including the Machine Factory Designing Institute under the Ministry of Machine-building Industry and the South Hamgyong Provincial Designing Institute.

The foundation work for factories and shops, set as updating projects for this year, is being hastened as scheduled.

Scientists of the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering and Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering are solving the technical problems arising in manufacturing and installing equipment and facilities on the spot.

Meanwhile, the complex has conducted the work to help technicians and skilled workers guarantee the production of large machinery and equipment in the updated production line, organizing theoretical and practical training courses. -0-
